Re: RMM tape size management

2021-02-22 Thread Michael Scott
There are some fields in the EXTRACT data set that have assigned DFSORT symbols
you could use to build a report with ICETOOL based on the volume capacity:

744 (2E8) CHARACTER 10 XVCAPACITY Volume capacity in
megabytes XVCAPACITY is factored

1577 (629) CHARACTER 2 XVFACTOR Space/size factor, applies
to XVCAPACITY, XVAPPUSE, XDSIZE XVPhys_Used, XDPhys_size

DFSORT symbols defined for these fields:
RXVCAPACITY,*,10,ZD Volume capacity, factored: MB, GB or TB

RXVFACTOR,*,2,CH Space/size factor, MB, GB or TB
* applies to RXVCAPACITY,RXVAPPUSE,RXDSIZE
RXVFACTOR_MB,'MB'
RXVFACTOR_GB,'GB'
RXVFACTOR_TB,'TB'

There are also some canned reports in RMM that list volumes inventory like
EDGGR03 that can be modified before submitting to include XVCAPACITY

Feel free to open a USAGE case to RMM and we can help you build such a report.
