Check TCPIP print queue. Current console log should be there in "OPEN" status.
You need to close that spool file to receive it in TCPMAINT reader.

Of those shops that are running EMC dasd, are there online manuals
 available?

On the IBM side, IBM will tell you everything in the world about their
 DS products.  But I can't find anything about the EMC dasd
 subsystems on the EMC site.

One of my clients has an EMC box.  With the change of system
 programmers, the knowledge of the box was lost.  EMC has been working with us 
for
 the past 3 months trying to discover what hardware we have and how it
 is configured.  3 MONTHS!
