Oh, nancy!

I am so sorry to hear this. I was hoping to hear good news from you. At least
your little love is out of pain. I am sending healing thoughts your way.

Although I understand what you are saying, you have to realize, that 99% of
television, movies, etc is aimed at the GENERAL PUBLIC. I am sorry, but the
general public is NOT EQUIPPED to handle dogs and cats...they should just have
a goldfish or even a toaster oven. I personally feel that the idea of keeping
them inside for 99% of the human population is a great idea. Of COURSE they
will need to take their dogs out for walks...but I am telling you...I worked in
veterinary ER for YEARS and most of the horrible things we treated or
euthanized could've just been solved if the owners just kept the pet indoors.

Back to work (in the vet ER today :( )

Well, if I did, I was only 8 or 9, so Tom Jones meant NOTHING to me (unlike now
where I am indeed a member of the church)

Even if you DO exaggerate, I always enjoy your posts and find them wondrfully
informative.

Seeing as I work with controlled drugs and lasers, I understand the lockdown
issue...if we have even a mL of a controlled substance missing, we are on
lockdown...and I do believe your ponies are in the paper.

That leaves me with the temperature predictions as being your exaggeration.

I am not exaggerating in saying that it was 88 yesterday. It's almost
THANKSGIVING, PEOPLE!

Re: [IceHorses] Grants

2007-11-07 Thread fandangoranch
Janice~

There are all SORTS of silly grants out there! Your best bet to actually get
one is to hire a grant writer. This is an excellent time of year to apply for
a grant, too, as the government makes all of their federal funding for these
available October 31st (to kind of hurry and get rid of the money for a fresh
start in January).

You need to go to your city snd county and find out local funds available
first, then federal.

that reminds me of a wonderful movie I saw...a widow inEngland (I think) finds
out that her husband who committed suicide really owed tons of money and she
was faced with losing everything, so she ends up growing pot and it was
actually done really well with some wonderful characters...can't remember the
namegreat cast

How difficult is the second link? I am already an emotional wreck with all of
this...a few people that have lost their houses have casually mentioned that
they couldn't find their cats or dogs and they obvioulsy were killed in the
fire...and the people just say "It's a shame - they were nice pets"...I can't
imagine the shock they are feeling, but if your second link is going to make me
lose it, I won't click on it.
