I know and thank you.  It's not even that far away, but it would mean 
leaving Bruce alone with the kids.  Our caregiver is taking care of her own 
sister while her parents are away for a week.  He can actually handle it, 
but it's a tough balancing act for one person.

Hi John,

Now that it's getting closer (both geographically and on the calendar) I 
wish I had taken Susan up on her offer of a place to crash.  Have a grand 
time.  Guess we'll go riding.

[IceHorses] AERC Convention This Weekend

The AERC convention is this weekend in Reno.  As usual, it will have a  great 
tradeshow and excellent speakers on various horse welfare and riding  topics. 
 I will still be putting on the two early morning Hot Topics  workshops and 
will emcee the regional awards presentation as well as attend  board and 
committee meetings.  Still, I won't be nearly as busy as the past  couple of 
years, 
so I will have more to visit.  Is anybody on this list  going?  If so, let me 
know if you want to get together.
