I made a page on the website to link to the book: http://iceryder.net/sleipnirsstory.html and also a link to a sample chapter. If you haven't ordered one yet, please do! >>> where do you get the book? http://www.icefarm.com/tackstore/cat1.html or e-mail Christine Schwartz at [EMAIL PROTECTED] She knows Tivar, since Ann took him to a clinic at the Icelandic Horse Farm - you should have her sign it to you and Tivy. I got her sign one copy for Cary and Skjoni since she was their matchmaker. :) Karen Thomas, NC -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Re: [IceHorses] Christine's book, Sleipnir's Story
where do you get the book? I want to go to iceland too but I have come to really believe in my heart that for whatever reason I annoy the heck outa foriegners. they dont seem to get it when I make jokes, and they just swarm out like a buncha fire ants when I ask a simple question. People say in iceland "it costs 14 bucks for a hamburger and fries!" which doesnt bother me since where I work here on the redneck riviera it costs 14 bucks and you dont get fries. a cup of coffee at starbucks is 4.25. even the cheapest meal is 8 bucks for lunch almost anywhere. But here along the "scenic corridor" on the gulf of mexico they passed an ordinance where no drive up windows are allowed... which resulted in NO fast food restaurants. Which means everything cost an arm and a leg. For lunch you have to go eat a "Nicoise Salad" with fresh grilled tuna steak, capers, anchovies and lemon roasted red potatoes for 18 bucks. So I eat soup at work. All the people I work with have to drive an hour cause no working people can afford to live here! a house here just sold for 12 million. How much did michael jacksons neverland sell for??!? Forgive me, I rant. But anyway. Iceland cant be THAT expensive... Cheryl Crowe has a house here! I have never seen her, but if i run into her I will tell her how much I enjoyed reading about her in The Gaited Horse. Janice

[IceHorses] Christine's book, Sleipnir's Story
Anyone read Christine's book, Sleipnir's Story, yet? I just finished it. The first part, about his life as a foal in Iceland where he lived until he was five, was pretty interesting and revealing to read. It was an entertaining book, based on a true story, with a lot of reminders to consider how the horse sees things. The last chapter was cute, where she repeats what the horses in the pasture told her that they want humans to know. BTW, if Robyn rode Stjarni that day, who was the woman who rode Sleipnir? It made me go back and look at the pictures of the clinic we attended there, so I could look at the pictures where I rode Sleipnir. It's pretty cool to know I rode a celebrity - not that I'm the only one who's ridden him in clinics. :) Good job, Christine. Karen Thomas [EMAIL PROTECTED]
