Just a note: if you are going to feed treats from the saddle, you should 
probably feed 
them from alternating sides so that the horse doesn't build up his muscles in a 
lopsided 
way.   I saw one horse whose breast collar needed to be adjusted out about 4-5 
holes on 
one side, compared to the other.  It seems that most people treat from the 
no-mane side, 
just as this rider was doing - or maybe the rider is just right-handed.
