They called me earlier this afternoon from the Disaster Preparedness Group to ask if I would be willing to accept evacuated horses if it was needed. She told me to be sure to get the owners to sign a release, so I would have no problems later. Oh my, I guess you always have to expect the worst--well, I can hope for the best. All we have is smoke, smoke , smoke. There are over 800 fires burning in CA and we are as dry as can be. I drove down to the bay area today and had to have the inside the car recirculation on the whole way except for bridges over the bay where it seemed clearer and got the stuffy air out. I am sure glad we live in grasslands and near the coast where the wind blows in the afternoons from the sea. Ann
