What's wrong with this picture? Hint: look at the
opening at the top of the
stall, to the right side. The stall wall is at
 least 6-feet tall.

That would be my Eitill, a.k.a. Mr. Potato Head, or Tater, or more
 recently, simply Tate.

then i must have his cousin, tater tot Tivar, cause yesterday my
husband left a whole brand new bale of fresh cut hay too close to the
fence and Teev musta tried to jump cause the fence was half tore out
and he had collapsed it enough to eat half a bale... we had to fix
fence til well after dark...

He didn't seem to be trying to get out... just a nosy neighbor!

what a naughty horse. is that one of yours?

That would be my Eitill, a.k.a. Mr. Potato Head, or Tater, or more
recently, simply Tate. I'm not sure he's a horse though. In fact, I don't
think he knows what species he is. He does things I've never seen another
horse or pony do.

how did you get him/her down? Raven

You misunderstand - there was no getting him down. Whenever he'd want to
see what was going on, he'd simply stand on his tip-toes and take a peek for
a few seconds, then he'd pop down. I didn't teach him to do it, he just
thought of it himself. He didn't try to jump out...he just wanted to check
on the cows and horses who lived there. I didn't particularly like for him
to do this, but he thought it was cool.

I've owned over 30 horses now and have dealt with oodles of others. I've
never encountered another like Tate - which is the name that seems to be
sticking. Cary calls him Little Man Tate.
