Re: [IceHorses] Re: interesting device
I said I bought a dark grey and lite greyt camo riding helmet. which you will be so jealous of, you and your peach and aqua boots. I didn't buy the boots, I just looked at them. I figured they would mold in my closet before Princess Buttercup is old enough to ride. So, I'll just have to be jealous of the camo helmet... Karen Thomas, NC

Well, I doubt that any one of us will, so this isn't directed to any of us, speak for yourself. I was thinking of velcroing myself to stonewall. Janice -- even good horses have bad days sometimes.

[IceHorses] Re: interesting device
i was looking for photos of wandas goofy relatives and somehow this popped up. it looks interesting. I wonder tho what happens if you fall, does it release? http://www.unisitinc.com/?gclid=CILO4abdrJQCFQNfFQodkHdttA Looks like you don't fall. I looked through the photo's and there is no release mentioned. The last photo the rider looks hollow backed is that the desired effect. It sounds good in theory but I feel I would be bracing and losing the feel of being with the horse. Like I did with the mary wanless riders belt. Sue Coombes

OTOH, if you can comply with all the do's and don'ts (http://www.unisitinc.com/Default.aspx?tabid=120) I don't see that you would need the device. It looks like a goofy shortcut device to me and I won't be rushing out to buy one. Well, I doubt that any one of us will, so this isn't directed to any of us, but in my memory the ability to sit the trot came with training of the horse as much of training of the rider. As the horse increases in athleticism and balance, his trot improves. Then it becomes quite east to sit the trot. Well, easier on some horses than on others of course, but this is the reason dressage riders do not normally sit the trot of a green horse. Nancy
