no, the head down is supposed to release endorphins altho the head
down could be a sign of relaxation too :)

Robyn,

The head down thing has always posed a question for me and you addressed it.
Does he relax because he has his head down or is his head down because he
has relaxed?  Hunter is a horse whose normal head  carriage id pretty high
all of the time.  He certainly does drop his head when he's relaxed but I'm
not sure that lowering his head would necessarily cause him to relax.

He's also of the grab a mouthful of grass and chew it up fast before
something bad happens type.
