I will be a guest speaker at the University of Auburn International Rabies
Symposium Sept 27 at 6:00 PM. If you are near there email me offlist and
maybe we can do lunch earlier in the day... it is in Huntsville, AL. My
vet will be a speaker also.

Wow, Janice. I think congratulations are in order, but considering what you
had to go through to get the honor, it's bound to be very sad too. Maybe what
you, Donny and Stali went though will help some other horse somewhere along the
way.

I will give you honorable mention in the list of innocent people who
had to spend boatloads of money on rabies post exposure shots just
because some idiot in south fla was too cheap to pay 14 bucks for a
rabies vaccination

The need for world-wide rabies eradication has brought together for
the first time leaders from veterinary, animal wildlife, and human
medicine to create the Alliance for Rabies Control, a non-profit group
based in the United Kingdom. The group's first major outreach is the
declaration of World Rabies Day on Sept. 8, 2007.

The World Rabies Day coordination team is inviting partnerships with
international health organizations; national, state, and local public
health partners; professional organizations; commercial pharmaceutical
companies; and foundations.

While much of the push is toward eradication of rabies in canine
species, there is also education outreach in all areas of domestic and
