When I would take her mask off in the evening, her face would be very sweaty and nasty. This weekend I bathed her face in Betadine and I have been putting the MTG on every day and putting some Swat on it and not using the fly mask (we don't have face flies since we started using the fly predators) . It seems to be clearing up. So far, for the first time, we aren't getting any tail rubbing and just have a few spots on her chest. She has never, so far, rubbed her mane. Of course, this has always peaked in the end of July and through August so the real test is yet to come. Try some icelandic lotion on her face to see if it will help get the itching under control. I have seen it really help with the itching. Do you know a source where we can buy it in the USA? Karen Thomas, NC

I left Teev's Swat off his belly for 3-4 nights, and a teeny-tiny spot appeared, so I'm back to swatting him daily. The mane still seems good though - not getting any worse, and no raw spots - and the spots on his hip and back are filling in with hair. So, he's not 100% cured here - not that anyone expected that - but so far, this is pretty darned manageable...fingers crossed. I've always been so crazy about this horse. Karen Thomas, NC
