Sebenarnya yang paling membuat saya ngiler sama iphone dan ipad itu adalah skype video call-nya yang native. Maklum adik saya di aussie sekarang dan cuma kedua itu yang paling enak untuk dipakai komunikasi. Sudah saya coba banyak aplikasi lain tapi keterbatasan multi platform dan terutama kualitas transmisinya yang buruk membuat saya berpikir bahwa iOS tidak akan pernah tersaingi oleh android untuk kebutuhan ini. Dulu satu-satunya cara ya akhirnya skype versi pc saja yang tidak nyaman. Semenjak skype video call jadi aplikasi standar di android, rasanya impian saya tentang ipad sudah tinggal kenangan masa lalu saja :). Goodby iOS! Ini memang problem utama saya juga. Kalo dibuat kerja (hal utama buat devices saya) sangat ga nyaman buat sy pribadi, repot. Meski buat beberapa teman, iOS tidak merepotkan (setelah tambah ini dan itu) :), tetep buat saya tidak se fleksibel Android. Jadi inget curhat2an ama Renner soal ini dimana dia ngalamin hal yg sama dengan iPad nya. Sekali lagi buat saya masing2 ada plus minus lah (dah dibahas bolak balik soal ini), Ambil/pakai saja sesuai kebutuhan kita. Share dikit, tadinya sy mau lepas juga dari iOS tapi tetep ada beberapa hal di iOS yg belum bisa di replace sm Android...n pernah juga Droidless karena dipikir bisa di gantikan iOS, nyatanya malah mati kutu wkwkwkwkwk. A. Menurut statistik tingkat pertumbuhan aplikasi android lebih cepat dr iphone,so cmn masalah waktu utk menyalip B. Soal harga tablet android yg mahal, menurut data jg rata2 cepat turunnya,justru apple yg susah turunnya,jd posisinya akan sama di hp,tabletpun jg murah,itu kelemahan apple sampe skrg sejak launching, yaitu harga susah banget turunnya:) C. Memang resiko dari open vendor untuk hardware itu adalah munculnya banyak sekali versi android yang menyusahkan developer karena problem kompatibilitas antar versi android. Jauh lebih enak bagi blackberry atau apple karena mereka memonopoli dari sejak hulu , yaitu pembuatan operating systemnya, sampai hilir, yaitu pembuatan semua gadgetnya. Developer aplikasi blackberry atau ios tentu akan merasa nyaman tidak hanya karena kompatibilitas os-nya tetapi juga karena ada kepastian spesifikasi hardware seperti apa yang akan merunning aplikasi mereka. Tapi semua yang berkontribusi untuk pengembangan hardware dan software android pasti akan sadar, bahwa mereka bukanlah sekedar pelengkap penderita atau penggembira saja dalam belantara mobile os. Opportunity yang dimiliki polytron dibandingkan samsung atau motorola misalnya, sama saja selama bisa mendevelop hardware yang handal. Apalagi pengembang software! Google secara radikal mengubah peta dunia yang semula sangat timpang antara negara super power dengan negara yang baru bangun dari tidurnya, menjadi sangat demokratis dengan memberikan kesempatan yang setara kepada siapapun yang memiliki talenta dan keuletan untuk mendevelop hardware dan aplikasi nya sendiri. Mungkin google akan jadi super power dunia yang kuasanya melebihi hegemoni negara kuat, dan menjadi tiran yang mencaplok segala hal.
