so how is this money spent?I think by organising a conference in some place other than Mascot , would have attracted more public and would have costed less. I am seeing lot of criticisms coming from all parts of society not just about the conference but also on other aspects of FS. I dont know if its hijacked by leftists, if so, its a matter of concern, I am of the opinion that giving away free cds doesnt make FS popular, but by enlightening public about FS will. Ever since I started using Free softwares, I talk to everyone about their merits, not everyone listens or cares about this. To them windows is also free(the so call illegal versions ), they are not worried about the legal or moral aspect By teaching public about this only by doing this , we can extend the usage FS among ordinary people. Hi all, Christnagar School wants us to help them switch to GNU/Linux. we should do the following : 1) install gnu/linux on their computers 2) Give training on java and C++ development How are we going to act now ? put those fonts in /usr/local/share/fonts and then fc-cache -f You might want to restart applications that uses these fonts. These are my experience of installing fonts.
