Scenario: I want to learn PERL , Python and MySQL but where? from whom?

Questions:

1-   Which is the best institute/tutor to learn Perl and its scripting,...
and also Python?

2-  Which is the best institute/tutor/way to learn MySQL?

Background: I know Linux and Networking .and I am intermediate in
C++ and Java. I am basically from Trivandrum, but I wouldn't matter the
travel required in case there is no other way!!

As i said I am complete newbie to this group too SO the person named
Saral runs or works at a comp training centr? is it?
And if its prob in our own minds itself that we dont turn up in live
enviroment, we could hold a live discussion too... rather than all
discussion through threads. U know rather than meeting only on the event
day! direct discussions cud help beter.. whr ideas and comments wud be
spontaneous...!!!
so guys  one day out of ur week for the cause of Freedom

Anyways the idea abt training module is kewl lets go ahead with it...
wat do others say? evrything is said to have only starting troubles   ... so
once we kick offf... we can get on move...   And the training module is a
gr888 idea  for the start as James said...!!


I HAVE AN IDEA.. dont knw how it sounds...and also dont knw if already the
training module by Akshaya is similar too

What abt providing Hand-outs to kids... which could help them to mark their
observations in that papers itself.??
Like hand-outs could have step-by-step procedure of what is to be done  ...
n the kids after doing that step..cud write besides it, what happens when
they follow that step.
SO that, when they read the hand out again they cud recall things... in
their own level..!!

but then... kids of which age group?? 10-16? or not so small as 10 too?

And if kids need to get clear idea... they need hands-on... isnt so? we need
facility for that rite? so venue? hmmm

and on course... we cud teach they basic operations..file system layout..
basic text and image editors...play music files n movies and bit of games
and basic of internet browsing ( it wud help those kids who are in case new
to whole of compu)..

Anyways gr8 idea.

Yeah true... dont see RHCE as a simple task just coz at his little guy did
it.

There were instance beofre 4-5 years...in which a 10 yr old boy completed
LLB by self study. he was examined and found he was better than many
professionals. It was all because of that boy's determination.

This little boy Mendez must have also been trained rigorously with only
intention to get him RHCE certfn!!!
If a little kid can operate a mob.. a pc he can do RHCE too. it all
Computers n so on
But seeing RHCE downgraded just coz he tuk it is absolutely not rite..!!

RHCE is not like CCNA..that u study dumps and u can crack it.
If you would ask Mendez and he shall knw the filesystems like any other kid
knows windows FS..and he shall know servers t.
HE studied he worked hard and above all the most important thing in
learning a new course like RHCE ( for thos who are really new to it)... is a
gd trainer! if u have a real good trainer ... You can learn it t
god..

One i can mention was the one who taught us RHCE... Mr.Praveen of
Logic,TVM... I was damn ignorant about the whole of Linux... and was not an
expert at windows tooo. He was an absolute blessing. You can ask anyone thr.

Similarly Mendez too wud have been trained...well n may be for a
lon time. But one thing is there...none is gd as our
sir. he teaches the best... Even if u havent seen a computer in ur life
b4 u shall not only be an RHCE by the time u pass out... but u shall be
self confident that u are gud in that field...!!! And that why we told him
at end..

"Evolution doesnt take ages. it just takes a TEACHER like you...""

And morevr soeone mentioned it already... he is the son of the person who
owns IPSR Thus Mendez wud have had the full facilties...long training
and loads of practice hours.

You shall realise how gud the course is... and how unique the exam is...
only wen u experience it... its the best !!!

I can say it with surity coz i have done both CCNA n RHCE.! I admit CCNA
is not a task...wen u have dumps. without dumps...its also one..
So plz dnt degrade the value of RHCE coz of this. But plz people (
request to thos who responed in the manner that
it-was-no-big-deal).learn to appreciate that little boy for his hardwork
and determination.
