In all Engineering colleges they are running Windows OS ( XP, 7 or 8 )..
Because all softwares like MATLAB, OrCad, Code Composer etc are running
only in Windows.. If it is possible to  run in Linux machines also it will
be better. How to do that ??

 Today's newspaper says that the state government is discussing with
 Microsoft for collaborating in education, e-governance and what-not.
 This is supposed to bring transparency into governance. But this

 government, it won't be easy to push for Free Software, but we certainly
 cannot remain silent spectators to this looting.

 It would be good if someone can start a representation to the government
 and post it to the group or a wiki, so that others can work on it as we
 used to do and send it to the Chief Minister, Education Minister and
 others. And, perhaps, we can start a media campaign too. Ideas welcome.

for Swap Space. After the Installation I got a Bad Message Like " No
Supported Hardware Found" and got the Basic Desktop. How to get the Unity
Desktop?

[fsug-tvm] Firefox installing

Hi,
Today I Tried to install the New firefox beta 4 on my OS ( Mint 10 ).
But from firefox's site i got a Tar.b2z file. I extracted that file and got
a folder Named Firefox. But I have no Idea to install firefox from that. So
I searched it on Google. But I got some Terminal commands from the search ,
I am not Familiar with that. So Plz Help me to install it !!

[fsug-tvm] Mobile Net Configuration in Fedora

Hi,
 I am using Fedora 13 in my system and I like to use my mobile
phone for internet browsing.
For that I configured the "Mobile broadband "Settings in Fedora and
saved them with the password and user name. But in fedora I did not
see a dialing button for internet connection( In windows one dialing
button is there for the connection establishment). So please Help me
if anybody know that!

My friend has just installed fedora 13 and updated that. But while playing
videos the Movie player is showing some error messages. Is there any other
player is available for fedora 13? Mostly he like VLC for playing videos! Is
VLC is available for fedora 13?
