Hi Yadu Is there involvement from the students of ECE/Applied? There is a good distribution of tools available for electronic design, which is sufficient for running labs for the whole Electronics BTech curriculum (circuit design, simulation, power electronics simulation, signal processing, VLSI design layout) The distro is Fedora Electronic Lab (FEL), more details are here http://chitlesh.fedorapeople.org/FEL/ This distro is being successfully used at Model Eng College for running BTech VLSI MTech courses. Hi David, There is involvement from the ECE and applied departments. The HOD ECE dept, Dr. Gopakumar is a veteran FOSS developer,and he has given full support towards this. my suggestion: change the name linux user group to GNU/Linux user group.
