This is the way to mount a cd/dvd image. sudo mount -t iso9660 -o loop dvd_file.iso /media/cdrom Now execute the command apt-cdrom add and then when asked to insert dvd, execute the mount command and mount the dvd. :) -- Anoop Jacob Thomas http://anoop.caremedia.org -- Freedom is the only law. i have copied all the dvds to my hdd as iso images. Added 3 dvds to the synaptic using the following command sudo apt-cdrom add i used this with the dvds not iso images. how can i mount the dvd images and add them also to the synaptic. -- Freedom is the only law.
