The password is empty string until you mention the password explicitly during the installation. 1. Login to mysql using root account 2. Create new user account in MySQL 3. Grant required privilege to the user. 1. Login to mysql using root account $ mysql -u root -p mysql Enter password:[enter the password, nothing will be displayed ,not even asterisks] mysql 2. Create new user account in MySQL mysqlCREATE USER 'pa1'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'some_pass'; 3. Grant required privilege to the user. mysqlgrant all on *.* to 'pa1'@'localhost' identified by 'some_pass'; mysqlgrant all on *.* to 'pa1'@'%' identified by 'some_pass'; ref manual for selective grant options. 4. get out of mysql mysqlexit 5. enter into mysql with the new user which has been created $ mysql -u pa -p Enter password 6.Entering right password ,Bingo , you are in mysql My take is that ,ensure you have entered right password. Hi, one of my server is running two service at a time. One service is Koha and another one is DSpace. They are virtually hosted there. It went well till today morning. Suddenly i am getting *502 Proxy Error *in my DSpace server. Other one is ok there.
