Thanks I am aware of GNUCash. Let me know if you know of anyone
using it for Hsg. Coop Soc. purpose.

In Hsg. Co-op society billing, interest calculation is simple interest
on the balance principal amount. Need to keep principal and interest
accrual separate and also show them as such in the bill. I have been
generating the bill manually in a spread sheet and it is prone to
errors in copy/paste.

I used Drupal Quiz[1] around Jan 2010 and Quiz 4 RC 1 sufficed my

straight forward to install and configure it. I was having some issues with

Ubuntu is Good but when you give to newbies, he may face problems,
List is very long.
What is why we tried to create SchoolOS which contains everything which
child need with good configuration.
I suggest you for having a try on SchoolOS. Also, Please send me your postal
address so that I can send you its DVD.

Here is a huge information we have put on our wiki
http://wiki.schoolos.org, you can also add your experience there too.
Most important, you need to install GNU/Linux and observer their problems.
Like newbies do not get any clue how to configure IP address even though it
is very easy. Same with Hindi typing etc. It looks a blackbox to child if
nobody is there to teach them. That why newer version include helpful pdf
files on right on desktop so that student can directly get those help.

I do not find any point in teaching kernel OR other concept to child. ICT is
meant for help in education and not for making computer engineers.

Because Linux/FOSS/GNU is made by all of us and we do it for non-profit.
Company system do not find much benefit out of this in promoting. Same with
Govt at some places.
GNU/Linux depends on us and we need to spread it. Somebody told about Linux
to me and I used it. I am not a fan of it, you use it, And tell your friends
about it.

data loss, you will be able to restore all of your data [or as much as you
want], from bare metal if necessary. Mondo is in use by numerous blue-chip
enterprises and large organizations, dozens of smaller companies, and tens of
thousands of users.

Feature:

Mondo is comprehensive. Mondo supports LVM, RAID, ext2, ext3, JFS, XFS,
ReiserFS, VFAT, and can support additional file systems easily. It supports
adjustments in disk geometry, including migration from non-RAID to RAID. Mondo
runs on all major Linux distributions and is getting better all the time. You
may even use it to backup non-Linux partitions, such as NTFS.

session was started at exactly 10am.  At beginning what I thought is
"All kids are looking small, so they does not know anything about

understand about Linux". But after started to take session I felt that
my thought is wrong. Everyone of there had experience with Windows.

Me and Selvamani started to talk with student with the as usual story
of Ritchard M Stalman and Linus Torvalt. Everyone impressed with
Linux. I showed Ubuntu and its compiz features. Then we played
BigBugBunny animation clip. All kids enjoyed this.

Next question session. Followings are some question, which I never

You can try OTRS or OSticket both of them are ticketing system with
escalation and various methods to raise ticket request.

OTRS is more customisable so will be little more complexed compared to OSticket,

Your donation celebrates everything Wikipedia and its sister sites

you so much for helping to keep these projects freely available for
