Re: [Ilugc] Problem in connecting to Mozilla IRC Server
Well, when I tried to connect via xchat, this is the message that I get. It doesn't get connected at all like, - Perl interface loaded Python interface loaded * Looking up irc.mozilla.org * Connecting to sand.mozilla.org (63.245.208.159) port 6697... --- OR it shows my status as connected, but then it doesn't actually get connected. In my experience upgrading Ubuntu always seems to create some sort of trouble, while clean installation proceeds nicely. No. I had 2 accounts already - one that created during installation (with sudo permission) and the other normal account. The login problem was only for the sudo user; I could login to the other account with no problem. Just curious, what is that .Xauthority file (the solution given in the link in my previous reply)? Here is a news article on the same, http://www.deccanherald.com/content/190270/beware-using-softwares-licence.html . FSMK, Free Software Movement Karnataka has recently released a press note appealing to small scale vendors to try out FOSS alternatives, http://www.fsmk.org/node/86 Photography studios associations have contacted us and requested us to train them on FOSS alternatives. Hence we are looking for GIMP experts who have worked extensively on photo editing to talk to few representatives of these associations and understand their requirements. If their requirements are fulfilled by GIMP, then we can plan for a large scale workshop and help them migrate. So please contact us if you can help us in understanding their requirements and migrating them. If this is not done immediately, then they will be forced to come to some agreement with software firms and have to shell out chunk of their profit to pay for the license fees. I would like to know if there is any progress on this? ___ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
