Re: [Ilugc] fetchmail porblem

2012-06-14 Thread Kingsley G. Morse Jr.
Hi Waqar,

Fetchmail's man page says...

For troubleshooting, tracing and debugging, you need to increase fetch‐
mail's verbosity to actually see what happens. To do that, please run
both of the two following commands, adding all of the options you'd
   normally use.

  env LC_ALL=C fetchmail -V -v --nodetach --nosyslog

(This command line prints in English how fetchmail understands
  your configuration.)

env LC_ALL=C fetchmail -vvv --nodetach --nosyslog

(This command line actually runs fetchmail with verbose English
  output.)

Also see item #G3 in fetchmail's FAQ ⟨http://fetchmail.berlios.de/
   fetchmail-FAQ.html#G3⟩

You can omit the LC_ALL=C part above if you want output in the local
   language (if supported).

I hope that helps,
Kingsley

If the system configuration is very low like 128 MB RAM try Damn Small
Linux or Puppy linux, that should work out.

Please follow the mailing list guidelines

post your replies. The post you have replied to wasn't posted to ILUGC
and it doesn't make much sense to those not subscribed to the other

I know, the English language is not particularly sane.

Even in the sense that he meant, i.e "people develop FOSS code because
they have an interest in improving the code as per their own
requirements" it is one of the aspects.

Making poor quality statements will only help anti-Foss people
spreading FUD. BBC is another wretched M$ slave

I think already Google docs (now Google drive) is replacing MS office
slowly, thanks to the "love" for cloud in the recent past. But sadly it
doesn't support odt files fully. IIRC, it supports only viewing and not
editing of odt files.

[Ilugc] What will be the future of WordProcessing and Spread Sheet

2012-06-14 Thread ThiaguWinId
Seems MS will make some changes in Windows 8 to make their applications to
have tight integration with the OS.

So, what will be future of WordProcessing and Spread Sheet applications.
Already I am suffering in compatiblity issue when more and more people give
their documents and spreadsheets in MS format.
Also, I am unable to find any FOSS replacement for MsAccess [ StarBase and
OpenBase are inferior to MsAccess ]

What will happen on 2022 ? Ms Come with Office 2022 and Open Office will
come with New Standard ?
