Its is an unmanaged Server with below configuration 50GB disk space and 1GB
RAM

users group, posts with respect to other *nix flavours are ok, but I am
of the view that Windows does not qualify.

I was wondering myself - I apologize. I will take care of this in the
future.

In any case, am trying to get the end users to change to Linux too. I hope
to make that happen soon. :)

I using *unlocked Idea Huawei 3g E-1550 Net setter with Ubuntu 11.10. I am
able use both 2G and 3G Sim of any server provider based on the network
availability.

I suggest to buy **unlock-able Huawei 3G modem. You can't unlock some of
the service provider specific modem**(Reliance,Tata Photon, etc...)**.

Network manager fails many times.

wvdial is still the safest way for me.

With regard to coverage, Reliance  BSNL are better in my experience.

[Ilugc] Huawei E1731 data-card driver for Ubuntu

Hi all,
I use Ubuntu 12.04 in my Laptop and Desktop. I have a Airtel Data-card its
model is Huawei E1731. I am not able to install the driver for it in-order
to connect internet. I did quite googling but that did not help. Can anyone
help in this regard?
