You will have to create a site list mailing list called mailman by running the newlist mailman. [Ilugc] [OT] Recommendation for Wi-Fi AP.
Greetings, I am looking for Wi-Fi AP that: 1. Is stable (does not require frequent reboot or power OFF/ON) 2. Supports 802.11 b/g/n 3. Supports up to WPA2-Enterprise (RADIUS auth) - a *must* 4. Has external Antenna Desirable - Accepts DD-WRT / OpenWRT images. Many list members may be using these Wi-Fi features in their own office / home and I would appreciate if you could share you experience. Please mention brand/model. PS - There are lot of brands claiming features and performance. Unfortunately, they can be verified only after one has purchased such an unit. In the past, I have used Linksys and Buffalo. Linksys has been OK but with internal antenna, range is suspect (at least in my experience). The Buffalo APs, on paper have great feature and few models do accept DD-WRT firmware. However, I have had heating issues - over a period of time the WLAN would disappear. The only way I could solve it was to power them OFF, let it cool and then power them ON. Buffalo was great in the RMA dept. but the brand new replacements had the same problem. TIA, -- Arun Khan ___ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc

[Ilugc] ToD - Conky
Tool of the Day: Conky Conky is a free software system monitor for the X Window System. It is available for Linux, FreeBSD, and OpenBSD. Conky is highly configurable and is able to monitor many system variables including the status of the CPU, memory, swap space, disk storage, temperatures, processes, network interfaces, battery power, system messages, e-mail inboxes, Arch Linux updates, many popular music players (MPD, XMMS2, BMPx, Audacious), and much more. Unlike system monitors that use high-level widget toolkits to render their information, Conky is drawn directly in an X window. This allows it to consume relatively fewer system resources when configured similarly. it has built in IMAP and POP3 support. it can be extended using built in Lua support, Conky can display this info either as text, or using simple progress bars and graph widgets, with different fonts and colours.
