LUGs, In my office PC, My sub-ordinate staff is pluged in one SATA Hard Disk for testing. The HHD have an RHEL4 with grub Boot Loader and which is installed as Dual Boot with Windows XP. Boot loader shows SDA as RHEL4 and SDB as Windows. But during testing, My hard disk pluged as SDB and it have an Fedora Core 11. I tried to make the entry in my simcard using wammu through Motorola SLVR L9 ( OS is ubuntu 8.10). After single number entry, It shows squire boxes in name numbers in mobile. and also wammu shows Japanese ( or china) language or symbols in name column when retrieval. I tired it the same in kmobiletools ( Mandriva 2009), but I couldn't make an entry phone. I need the solution to solve it. Any other way to feed numbers to my mobile? Dear LUGs, I tried IRC chat in Pidgin, x-chat and mibbit (web based IRC client). Out of three, Pidgin gives better performance when i using mobile internet. x-chat hangs 3 to 5 min approximately and to get the talks for screen. This thing makes me lag of conversation. Well, when he asks 'best' he means features and performance. I don't see how the license of the browser is relevant to that. Exactly. Puppy linux uses seamonkey as it's default browser, which interestingly, is faster than firefox 3.x. Seamonkey is make of Mozilla Dilo, k-meleon, epiphany etc. which are more lightweight. I am speaking with Linux and not considered Light weight/Standard rate a browser purely by the number of plugins that come bundled with it is naive. It may right. First give the owner ship of the mount point, # chown [users] # chmod 775 I tried this already. add a line in /etc/fstab and in /etc/mtab to make it auto mount, with fstab, it'll auto mount any disk stated in /etc/fstab file, with mtab, it'll mount the disk is inserted. /dev/sda1 /media/usbdisk ext3 rw, (state the options you want). here make sure, your mount point is /media/usbdisk or what ever the name you give in the /media/[directory] . I used 'noauto' in fstab. It is working fine for an partition of internal the hard disk. But for external hard disk, it is not working. In Gnome, mount/unmounting of removable media is automatic provided it is allowed in the hal configs. Check entries in the hal configs. ok. i will check the 'hal config' Secondly, you should prevent the filesystem check being applied to this file-system at boot time by putting a 0 in the fsck column.
