Thanks I would suggest Zimbra for moving away from MS Exchange. I recently tried, Zimbra and OpenXchange as an alternate for MS Exchange. Both are good and with full of features matching with MS Exchange all the way. But I preferred Zimbra for it outstanding web interface. regards, Siva. ___ To unsubscribe, email ilugc-requ...@ae.iitm.ac.in with "unsubscribe " in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc

[Ilugc] Openoffice Problem
Hi all, For last couple of months I have been using Openoffice 3 beta in a debian lenny box. Last week when I opened the app, I could not see any font on the application. Though the windows and buttons are all visible, the fonts are not visible. The application itself looks like a hanged windows application. I tried reinstalling the latest version, installed the debian's repository version, but everything gave the same result. What can I do to get my office suite work again properly? Working on Google docs is a real pain, please help. regards, siva. ___ To unsubscribe, email ilugc-requ...@ae.iitm.ac.in with "unsubscribe " in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc

[Ilugc] Openoffice in Singapore Airlines
Hi all, I was flying in a Singapore Airlines last week and I was browsing through their impressive inflight entertainment system. One thing that interested me was an option to use that as a PC. When I went there, I saw a office suite in place, when I clicked it, to my surprise it is Openoffice(well, it is staroffice, powered by openoffice). The interface was pretty cool, though the system was a bit slow. I just played around to see what the underlying system was, but I did not see it. But I think it should be a unix clone may be solaris or linux, since the window theme had a xfce kind of look. This is the first time that I am seeing a company using opensource tools in a system that is going to be used by public. [Ilugc] Python - Apache2 doubt
Hi all, I have a doubt in accessing python through Apache. I have the following configuration in my apache2/site-default/default file. Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews AllowOverride None Order allow, deny allow from all AddHandler mod_python .py PythonHandler first PythonDebug on My /var/www/first.py file looks like this. def handler(req): req.content_type = "text/plain" req.write("Hello World!") return apache.OK def get_time(): html = """ get_time function get_time function The local time of this server is: %s The timezone of this server is : %s """ % (time.ctime(time.time()), time.timezone/3600) When I give the following url "http://localhost/first.py"; the function handler is getting executed. But when I give the url "http://localhost/first.py/get_time"; the function get_time is not getting called. What should I do to call anyfunction in a python script through mod_python? [Ilugc] Debian Lenny Installation Problem
Hi all, Am facing a installation problem in Debian Lenny Beta 2. I downloaded the dvd version and when I tried to install it in my pc, the cdrom drive(LG DVD writer) is not getting detected. The installation is failing in the step, "Detect and Mount CD-ROM." I googled and found that I could pass kernel parameters libata=1 or libata.atapi_enabled=1 to over come the issue. But even after giving the parameters I got the same errors. I guess the problem would not be uncommon, can some one give a solution for this thanks, siva. ___ To unsubscribe, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe " in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
