You guys are better than this.

Sahil, you are an active participant which is appreciative.
Mohan, you solutions are to the point - than most other responses.

Hope both of you guys understand that it got deviated a bit and appreciate

Moderators pls excuse for posting non-technical, though context is well
with-in how the thread has shaped up.

I reckon we all know what qualifies as objectionable. It doesn't come with
a clear border. Quoting an analogy none-the-less

While walking its my freedom to swing my arms. If i want to swing them 90
deg on either side, i have the freedom - if i can swing them 90 deg to
start with. While swinging if it hits people walking front & behind, then
my freedom is encroaching theirs. That's why there is no clear border.

I see no issue in OP using Namaste in salutation. Pls do remember this
group is called 'India Linux User Group - Chennai'. It includes
Linux/India/Chennai. So if i am to loose sanity for moment, can i say that
people from other districts on TN aren't allowed to participate? No, as
long as the post is about technical & Linux anyone is welcome. Salutation
doesn't matter in a technical post, so why make big issue on that. I hope
you agree techies care only how well the question is posted, rather than
salutation.

To be frank your first response in this thread, with solution, was the
correct response until it was spoiled by you bringing 'Namaste' as note.
All other response are waste of resource.

have informed about such method in your original post.

Hi,

Thanks again for showing the interest for containers workshop.
You have been confirmed to attend the workshop on 9th Jan'16 in Chennai.
If you are not interested or would not be able come on that day then,
please respond right away.

to come or not. As currently I don't have any ticket management system,

I would return your 1000/- on the day of workshop. Sorry to keep it like

9-5 is figure of speech, should have been more explicit.

Staying in line OP comments.

I try communicating my nephew the need of education, he is doing secondary
certificate. Education that helps one in life situations, education that
helps to achieve financial self-sufficiency. Earlier i was prejudice
towards former and my recommendations feel in deaf ear. When i am balanced
he atleast listens. When i am titled towards latter, everyone in my family

When someone starts their career they would need financial security more
than anything else. Maybe once they are secure enough, having developed
enough conviction on their aspirations/need-of-society they might choose
it.

I won't ask others to put their career on what i deem as nation's problem.
Maybe if i am part of the solution might recommend to others. Also all they

Re: [Ilugc] Grep two lines from text file with different A and B switch

2012-07-26 Thread Udaya Kumar
Other way to approach this is to delete lines between MD5 & Network
activity, excluding those lines.

This should do that trick.

perl -e '$_=`cat ipfile`;s/(^MD5.+?$).+?(^Network\s*Activity.*?$)/\1
\2/msi;print'

now you can do a grep.

If you want to access db, mysql, check phpmyadmin. It also has export

Check whether there is something in log, /var/log/mysql*.

I am on Ubuntu and could set debug flag, for startup script, with
DEBIAN_SCRIPT_DEBUG. Check you can do something similar to this.

Apparently you haven't read Senthil's post. I have Intel one in my system
and the modprobe entry corresponds to that. You have to create one which
corresponds to your hardware.

We can help you better if you post the output of 'lspci -v'.

I too had similar issues in my Acer one. Do google. At the end stuffing
entries in modprobe solved it.

This is how mine looks.

r...@linus:~# cat /etc/modprobe.d/iwl3945
alias wlan0 iwl3945
options iwl3945 disable_hw_scan=1
r...@linus:~#

Nope Firefox doesn't support Data Island. You have to use JS to load data.

Yep it is, if thats what the OP wants. Whereas if he wants to restrict only
certain users from changing their passwd, then validation on UID will be
helpful.

The easy way would be to move the passwd binary to a different location.

The proper solution would be write a script which invokes the passwd binary
after UID validation.
The passwd binary should be kept in different location.
