[Ilugc] new user magesh has a problem

Which movie player are you using? 2. What movie format are you trying to play? 3. What is your system configuration, especially the graphic card? In the meantime, install VLC player. Please give answer to these questions. Try running the player from command line with the file path as the argument, like 'totem /home/magesh/videos/thevideo.avi' When you try to play a video file which need codecs, Ubuntu asks whether it can install codec if the corresponding format has one and if given yes for the installation, it installs the codec and plays the file. Sometimes it may need to close the player and open it again. i had asked question IRC but no one gave a solution Which channel? #ubuntu?
