[Ilugc] plan for software freedom day celebrations
Dear Luggies, Jaya FOSS Club (www.jayafossclub.org) also planned to celebrate SFD on 19th sep, 2009 in a grand manner. we have already started our preparation for this event. Details of events will be uploaded very soon in JFC site. We request ILUGC support for this too. Without ILUGC support we never did any event. This time also we are expecting the same. Also we would like to participate the SFD event to be held at birla palntitorium. Its not a problem for us to have the event in both places. We wanted to take up the stalls, if its more than two also we are ready to take up. Here is the highlight of discussion a.Birla Planetarium authorities in principle agreed for venue. b.We should give a formal letter- Thyagu and Bharati will take care of this.. c.We can have about 25 stalls. d.We will call interested colleges to have stall - max.2 per college. e.They can choose the topics or if required we can suggest. f.ILUGC will have upperhand in deciding the topic. g.MIT students have accepted to have two stalls - one on multimedia, other topic to be decided. h.ILUGC Volunteers are required for various tasks.
