if yu want to run apache at run level three just create a
   symling in /etc/rc3.d/S91apache - /etc/init.d/apache

From where you get this parameter 91, specially in Debian ??,
In Redhat based system it is in everyfile /etc/rc.d/init.d/smb (say)
# chkconfig: - 91 35

if you want a gui to configure start stop services linuxconf
   is a good solution.

   try apt-get install linuxconf

Pesonally i don't like linuxconf never used, bec'z it sucks!

Cyberroam seems to use UDP for connections, but hotwire client uses a TCP
connection to the server. At least my hotwire connection uses a TCP link and
 no UDP.

so linc linc.sf.net should work. But I have not tested it
 Haven't tried out linc yet!

[ilugd] X Configuration

2003-07-04 Thread D.Venkatasubramanian, Noida
Hi,

What is the Configuration utility for
X in RH9. Is it still xf86config?

Actually, earlier it was a RH8
machine but was not running in X mode,
we upgraded it yesterday to RH9
specifying all packages. But now,
there is no xf86config or
Xconfigurator command.

Thanx, its an Intel 845 M/B. redhat-config-xfree86
probes correctly, but still display problems.
Windows NT runs correctly. I guess, we will have
to manually edit the config file.
