 Hi,
Is there any good download mgr for linux like
 GetRight for Win? I have
prozgui, but it is not so good.

You could try

Downloader for X is a Linux/Unix userfriendly
program with nice X interface
to download files from the Internet. It suppotrs
both FTP and HTTP protocols,
supports resuming (of course if server side
supports it) and makes downloading
files from internet easy. Downloader for X is an
analogue for Linux/Unix
of such famous applications for Windows as ReGet,
Go!Zilla and GetRight.

I did.

I can bring the packages in the *meet* if ne one wants debian 3.0

[ilugd] [x-posted] SCO declares GPL invalid

2003-08-15 Thread LinuxLingam
i somehow had a feeling last few weeks that this would be the next step in
the battle of copyright/copyleft.

can almost predict what's gonna happen next as well.
but my mouth is shut.

SCO Attorney Declares GPL Invalid

chrullrich writes According to [0]heise (German, fishbait), SCO's
chief counsel Mark Heise (unrelated) of [1]Boies, Schiller and Flexner
has declared that the GPL violates the US copyright law and is thus
null and void. SCO's legal position is actually a little too crazy to
believe: The GPL allows unlimited copies, the copyright law allows one.
Therefore, the GPL is invalid. Apparently, they try to argue that the
copyright law, in giving consumers the right to make one backup of
their software without any permission from the copyright holder,
outlaws any contractual agreement that allows users to make more than
one copy. There's an [2]Inquirer article in English. Apparently SCO is
now using the [3]Chewbacca Defense. Other SCO news: [4]SCO reports a
profit, examining [5]SCO's contributions to Linux, [6]an attorney
summarizes the case.

then i would have to say either the red hat mirrors suck
or up2date sucks.

come see apt-get running you'll be converted to debian in one
