It won't.

The join(1) command is closer to an SQL[1] join, not a concatanate, which is
what you need, and which is provided by the cat(1) command.

Today's homework: Think up two uses for the join command.

[1] I have no clue what SQL is, just that 12 years ago[2] all my co-workers
added it their bio-data, and got pay hikes.
[2] 10 years ago, they added SAP, and got another hike.

Dont modify any files directly.
Use either:
1. passwd -l username: Wil lock all uses of username/passwd 
2. chsh /sbin/nologin: This will disable shell logins, though username/pass 
will still work for pam/shadow-based services

[ilugd] Strange Samba problem in file manger

Hi

I am using pcq Linux 2004.  I have successfully configured samba server.
When I try to access samba share using file manager of kde or gnome I am
asked for password and username.That's ok. Once I entered the password and
username I can go to share and when hit back button I am again asked for
password. Is this normal or I need to configured something in samba or kde
and gnome file manger?

Try smb4k. Its an excellent GUI but gives you a 'real' smb mount as compared
to GNOME VFS which is good only for browsing a share but not editing a
document on it.

CVS:  -  It works on client server concept  so both can reside on the same
machine or different machine.

 A2- Goggle it out ... solution depends on the various factors. like what
you need to cluster? What do you want to achieve?
