[ilugd] Robotic Manipulator Development in Blender Python
Hi everyone, I have started working on an Open Source project that implements robotic manipulators in Blender and Python. The current version is far from complete but still functional and useful. Here is the project link http://robotsim.sourceforge.net/ Downloadables include a .blend file and the beginnings of a documentation in PDF and SXW formats. The software is cross platform (though it was developed on Ubuntu Linux). Needless to say that you need to have Blender and Python installed on your PC in order for it to work. (You also need to set the correct PYTHONPATH variable in order for Blender to be able to 'see' the Python modules). To try out the software, just download the zip file. Unzip and open the .blend file inside Blender. Then position your cursor over the left hand side (i.e. over the text editor window) and hit 'Alt+p'. - AJ PS: I have to add that I learnt the basics of both Python and Blender while working on this project and both are just plain Awsome! ___ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/
