[ilugd] Barcamp Delhi
http://barcamp.org/BarCampDelhi BarCampDelhi is BarCamp's first foray into Asia and we are proud to be the torch-bearers. BarCamp is a new kind of technology 'unconference'- organized by attendees, for attendees. It's an open, welcoming, once-a-year event for geeks to hang out with wifi and smash their brains together. It's about love and geekery and having a focal point for great ideas. Attendees are strongly encouraged to give a demo, a session, or help with one. You can help by taking notes on the wiki, blogging the event, helping to promote the event, or helping with logistics. The theme of BarCampDelhi will be Next Generation Internet: Web 2.0, mobile computing, and other cool stuff. Since Free Software is definately cool, how about ILUGD crashing their party :-) -- _.-, raj shekhar .--' '-._ http://rajshekhar.net _/`- _ '. http://rajshekhar.net/blog ''._`.. \ ` \; WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE ;_\-- God's Last Message to his Creation ___ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/
[ilugd] Hibernation problem in Compaq E 500 Laptop running Ubuntu 5.10
Hi Am running Ubuntu 5.10 (Breezy) on a Compaq Armada E 500 laptop. The hibernate option is enabled, some times after restarting the computer from this hibernated position all I get is a blank screen. I can access alternative login prompts using the Ctrl+Alt+F1 (or F2 etc keys) and can login but when I try startx command it says X session is already enabled. Using the Ctrl+Alt+F7 Key I can go back to the session that was supposed to come out of hibernation but its still a blank screen. So what can I do to figure out a. Why this is happening. b. If I can login using an alternate prompt are there tools I could use to stop the main session and restart another session. thanks ram ___ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/
