[ilugd] Wiki available for JNU Bio-Informatics Centre / ILUG-Delhi workshop

2006-07-13 Thread gora
Hello,
  A Wiki has been set up for the workshop jointly organised by
the JNU Bio-Informatics Centre and ILUG-Delhi. It is at
http://203.90.127.98/twiki , though that seems to be unreachable
at the moment of posting. Many thanks to the bunch of people that
have already contributed to the Wiki.

Regards,
Gora

[ilugd] 3D CAD software in floss

2006-07-13 Thread Kenneth Gonsalves
hi,
you may know that NIC is promoting CollabCAD in a big way in colleges
and industry - with suggestions of a foss halo. Do we have something
in floss to counter this - something that we can work on to develop?
Should be 3D

html::template

the one and only - everything else, to a certain extent mixes code
and html

It depends on your needs and level of confidence in the language.
Ofcourse you already knew that ;). I would recommend you try out a few
of the following before making a decission. You can always write back
with your queries but in most cases you shouldnt have a problem using
either of them.

Pure Templating:
1. Template Toolkit
2. Text::Template
3. HTML::Template

The following can do templating for you but do remember these are more
comprehensive tools and once you have them installed your horizon for
developement grows exponentially. All of them are best used under a
mod_perl environment but most can be used under a CGI environment too.
1. EmbPerl
2. HTML::Mason
3. ePerl
4. Apache::ASP

As I said earlier it depends on what is complete requirement.

Engineers normally have problem with every solution. If not they have a
solution in search of a problem.
