[ilugd] [ANNOUNCE] pypt-offline 0.6.3

2007-01-15 Thread Ritesh Raj Sarraf
Hi,

pypt-offline 0.6.3 has been released.

Changes
==
* On Mac OS X, use non-threaded model as threads were creating issues. (And I
don't have a mac to look into the issue)
* Implemented a threaded cumulative progress bar. Implementing a progress bar
which could be cross-platform, threaded, for the console was a real PITA. I'm
still not satisfied with the current progress bar but don't have much time to
spend on it atm.

Now, with a workaround progress bar done, the primary TODO in the list is to
add offline bug report functionality.

pypt-offline
===
pypt-offline is a utility for people using Debian (and distros based on
debian) on a disconnected machine. It helps in upgrading a completely
disconnected machine on a daily basis.

Thanks,
Ritesh

[ilugd] Agenda items for next ILUG-D meeting

2007-01-15 Thread Gora Mohanty
Hello,
The next ILUG-Delhi meeting will be held on Sun., July 28th, at a
time and venue to be announced. This message is to solicit items for
the agenda. I have included some items proposed on the list, but would
also like to revive talks on technical topics:
1. E-zine: Atul Jha
2. Training workshops at RKGIT: Gaurav Mishra
3. Planning for Freedel, 2007: Kishore?
4. Technical talks: Please volunteer. If no one else does, I will put
together a development-oriented talk about easy bindings to C
libraries, and migration to Microsoft Windows platform, using SWIG,
and Mono. This will use the real-life example of C# bindings for
aspell, and a GUI for spell-checking in Hindi.

Regards,
Gora

my question is: does it do columns? does it do ups? Cant see any menu
items for that - and if it doesnt have columns or ups, then it is of
no use for a professional
