Re: [ilugd] [OSS Camp, Delhi: 48] Re: Ideas Activities

2007-07-04 Thread Rohan George
Hey, I'm a lawyer/journalist interested in FOSS issues in India. I was
wondering if the whole OSS camp in India could be useful for me. I still
haven't got a handle on the scope of this weekend meetup, but if you'll be
talking policy and current developments, I'd love to be counted in.

Venue? I am totally clueless about it.

What kinda venue would be suitable/sought after for this weekend meet?
A cafe or something? Then how about any of the CCDs at CP(centrally
  located). IHC is another option.

depends on the number of people who express interest in showing up.

 i assume amit, and sunil kinshuk, that's 1+1 =2
 count me in +1

let's have a show of hands.
then someone could suggest venue plus time.

oh pj! hope to see ya there.

I acknowledge the genesis and roots of FOSS and where free software
started, grew, and flourished in the developer/IT/CS community before
it was grudgingly acknowledged by major companies. This is good for
development, but for widespread application we need to 'go beyond'
developer/IT/CS community. The major companies should not
grudgingly acknowledge, but willingly strategise using FOSS. This is
when larger acceptance happens.

Admin, can you please look after such misuse of newsgrp. Also, there can
be a problem where the sender do not know actually how it happened.
Services likes Plexo let users Log-in their account (Gmail/Yahoo/Hotmail
etc) and automatically fetches the contact list. This may be the cause
of this email, probably/

a share of their earnings as well !!

In case you are wondering how much your mobile phone is capable of earning,
register at http://m-earn.com/Beta/index.jsp?inviteID=157219 and ya dont
