Re: [ilugd] OT: VoIP blocked somewhere ?
- Original Message From: Karanbir Singh [EMAIL PROTECTED] Just wondering if anyone else knows about this / has seen this before. I am on the bsnl broadband network at the moment, and there seems to be a definite block on the VoIP ports inbound. is this something that bsnl publicly accepts ? Hi, This is probably an indication that BSNL (like MTNL who have launched) is on the verge of launching their own VOIP service and dont want us to use any other provider. dear all, shawn kwon from korea's kldp.org has written a brief blog on his experiences at freed.in please use google's language tool, or your other favourite translation tool, to read its interpretation in english by machine-translation :-) he's spirit's in the right place, and i guess we can all find enough phrases to print at the back of a new set of teeshirts. :-) http://kldp.org/node/86714 here's one gem of a translation, using google's beta korean to english translation: it is a photograph which it takes with the humane grandmothers together from percentage. go figure. :-) niyam ___ ilugd mailinglist -- ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Next Event: http://freed.in - September 28-29, 2007 Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/ilugd@lists.linux-delhi.org/
[ilugd] Hindi Rendering Problem
Hi, I was trying to view a website in Hindi when i encountered this problem, a website: http://manaskriti.com/kaavyaalaya/kaho_kaise_ho.stm using unicode for hindi text: displays improperly on my Firefox 2.0.0.6. The problem is that the matras are placed incorrectly, then the adhe akshar appear with a halant and not as aadhe akshar(technically correct but its difficult to read that ways). ैE.g. लेिकन renders as लेकिन I went through this page on wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Multilingual_support_%28Indic%29 and did everything that was suggested under Debian(Im using Ubuntu 7.04) and also under GNOME. I also checked that my firefox is compiled with --enable-pango option . Still it doesnt render properly, any clues on what could be causing the problem?
