excellent! rajnish. i am given to understand you are the author of
this material, sort of?
here's what you could do that would benefit everyone immensely:
please copyright and publish the material on the web under a
creativecommons or similar license. better yet, use a wiki so people
may contribute further to edit an enhance the courseware.

over to you.

[ilugd] JIIT LUG proposal for freed.in 08

2007-11-02 Thread aDiTyA ShArMa
Hi all,

JIITU LUG would like to request the community to consider its candidature
for hosting freed.in 08.Attached herewith is the formal proposal from JIITU
LUG.

We look forward to your guidance, cooperation, feedback, and queries.

Regards,

Aditya Kumar Sharma
(Fedora Ambassador , JIIT LUG co-ordinator ) - 9818622713

Angad Singh
(Sun CA, JIIT LUG co-ordinator) - 9910800112

JIIT is one of the more respected technical universities in the NCR region,
although only six years old we've got an excellent reputation in the
industry, we've got some of the bigger names in the Indian IT industry
coming to our college for placements year after year and are taking more
people at a higher pay scale, owing to the excellent performance of our
alumni working with them. We set up a LUG a couple of months back and we've
got good participation. We've already had a few sessions primarily
introductory ones and we've got an excellent response thus far. Since we are
primarily a technical university our members have short learning curves and
are eager to learn. A section of our LUG's most active members, around 50,
participated in FREED.in 07, attending as many of the sessions as possible
and the general consecus being on the positive side with people inquiring if
anymore of such conferences are being held in the near future.
At JIIT we have excellent word class infrastructure, we have three huge
Lecture halls which can be used for primary sessions and 9 medium sized
lecture halls for peripheral sessions. We have 2 wifi enabled lecture halls,
a huge open area where pandal's can be setup for informal gatherings.
Further we have a mess with a capacity of serving three thousand people at
least with a separate faculty mess, which can also be made available to us
for serving some important people attending the conference. A café, which
can also be a base for informal gatherings.
We have an extremely co-operative administration and they were more than
delighted to have the ILUG-D members here in out college for their monthly
meeting. We request that you please consider our request for organizing the
next FREED.in here in JIIT, Noida. We would be happy to have you here. We
also request that if other conferences organized by the ILUG-D need a venue
we be automatically be considered. Attached below is a detailed description
of our college infrastructure.

conditioned campus with twenty four hours electricity and water backup.

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=108315328675879344637.00043937d63ff85f7e3cf&ll=28.635911,77.372246&spn=0.033071,0.058365&z=14&om=1
