[ilugd] CSI day organised in NSIT ( 2nd April )
Hi, The CSI - NSIT branch is organising the *CSI day on 2nd April*. The event is themed around Open Source technologies. NSIT is one of the premier Technical institute of India. The CSI NSIT branch present in it ( http://societies.nsitonline.in/csi/ ) has been promoting Open Source in the college since it's creation. It's has been responsible for NSITians participation in Freed.in and OSIW ( formerly Linux Asia ) conferences. The success of CSI in recent years has given us confidence to organise a CSI day. It's a very new initiative and has got us all excited. We are using the CSI day as a platform to make the NSITians aware about what open souce is, how it works and how it can benefit them. We were hoping if someone form OSS community can give a talk on open source which would target a beginner audience. it would really set tone of the event. Apart from above, it would be great if someone would like to share any other views with the audience or support us in any way. Off Topic: The CSI newsletter online edition was launched successfully. We have more than 150 downloads in the first week of launch. The download link is here http://societies.nsitonline.in/csi/index.php?option=com_docmantask=cat_viewgid=32Itemid=78. I hope you all like it. We welcome any comments, suggestions to improve it.
