[ilugd] FTP error while running script in cron

2009-11-29 Thread Amit Sharma
Hi

I have facing a strange problem while uploading data file using FTP in cron.

I have made a script to upload 40GB approx tar.gz file to a FTP location.

When I run the script in console, it works fine and uploads the file without
any issue.

When I schedule it in cron and make it run automatically, FTP upload fails with
error :

426 Connection closed; Not Enough Disk Space. Aborting..

But when I run the script again in command prompt, the data gets uploaded
without any issue.

Any pointers?

regards,
amit

[ilugd] Google ChromeOS

2009-11-29 Thread Shiv
Hi,
Ive managed to download the VM image of the ChromeOS and install it on
VirtualBox OSE by following the steps given here ->
http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/11/19/guide-install-google-chrome-os/
First impressions are quite good (though the requirement of using a Gmail login
as System login is a little weird). Very fast bootup with interface similar to
the Chrome Browser.
Now to install it natively on my Asus EEEPCs (701 and 1000AH).

With Warm Regards,

Hi Rakesh

Probably you should work on APACHE-MYSQL-PHP combination u can install
wamp/lamp according to your need.
Also you just need to make sure that your server (apache) is running and
haves a public IP address that way you will be able to connect to it from
outworld. Make sure that u keep a check on port number on which apache is
running, to help you connect. If you want to have free domain name you can
try
www.dyndns.com
if you are behind a router ( assuming u using internet from
airtel/mtnl/bsnl... ) ull be and thn u will need to forward ur port also
http://www.portforward.com/
this will help you in that.

2009-11-29 Thread Gaurav Gehani
Just for those who gonna use chrome-unstable be lil careful when u use it
specially when using search function (ctrl f) in page. With me it has
crashed my session many times
and only possible way to recover was hard-reboot. :( so be little careful
and rest its all cool. Just make sure u dont search lot many number of
things in page if some other important thing is open else u wont even get
chance to save that :(

Check this out http://fedoraunity.org/solved/server-solutions/lamp-stack ,
it has all the steps and do try out the phpinfo() script.
And place all your php files in /var/www/html, this is where apache looks
for files in fedora.

How did you run it?
Did you open it in a browser as
http://localhost/test.php
If so, what error did it give?

Firefox do suppose ogg video and (all other browser must support) only
ogg format.
.mp4 and other non-standards files are handled with the
plugins. I suggest to download the video using wget command and
convert using ffmpeg Or OggConvert to Ogg format and see video. There
are online webservices tinyvid etc which can convert online videos to
ogg format.
