There are also tmux[1], dtach[2]. tmux offers horizontal splitting as well.

[ilugd] [Commercial] Co-locating with Srijan in Gurgaon

2011-01-20 Thread Anil Kumar Sharma
We're based at Signature Towers in Gurgaon. The office space we currently
(about 2850 sq. ft.) have is much larger than what we require in the current
team. We had a lot of aggressive growth plans, which are shelved. Our Dev+QA
team size is about 25 people. We plan to remain broadly this size only.

The office rental is quite a lot, and therefore we're looking out for
companies who may want to co-locate. Our office can easily accommodate a
team of 15-20 people. We could have a common Admin department.

We're interested in companies with whom we could form a business 'synergy' -
those working in the following domains:

- Social Media Marketing
- Design agencies
- Corporate training
- Content/Technical Writing
- Software Development (Drupal, Rails, Java, Django)

About Srijan

Srijan Technologies is a leading Drupal development company having built
sites like www.openthemagazine.com and www.mnn.com. It works on the entire
stack related to Drupal -
a) Configuration and Development,
b) Performance Tuning
c) Support and Maintenance. It also works on FaceBook apps, and shortly
getting into iPhone and Android development.

Should you be interested to find out more, please call Anil Sharma at: +91
98997 45832 or write to him at a...@srijan.in

Use "screen" when you login to the server and recover your process when you get
disconnected.

Google throws several resources when I search for "screen linux"

I don't want to hijack program of some other user, but I want to
interact with the program which I ran some time before like say(20
mins back) and then got disconnected because of network issue, and
when I connect back to the server, I get another pts session.
Now, all I need to do is interact with the currently running process.

I hope, this is not much confusing.

Help is appreciated.

[ilugd] Hijack program run by other pseudo terminal

2011-01-20 Thread Sagar Belure
Hi,

Is it possible to hijack process/program which is running on some
other pseudo terminal(e.g. pts 0) to the current terminal(say pts 2).
