[ilugd] IP Conflict in Red Hat Linux 7.2 & 9.0
Hi folks ! When I install red hat linux 9.0 or 7.2 on my Dell Power edge 1600 sc with 36GB SCSI HDD, 1 GB RAM & Dual Xeon Processor Server with one live ip & another local network ip it gives error that the IP is being used by some other host, while I have checked by all means that these IPs are not used anywhere, but still it gives me the problem. Moreover I changed the Local IP from 192.168.1.25 to 192.168.1.28 but still ifconfig shows 192.168.1.25 while in netconf it shows 192.168.1.28. The same live IP if I put on a Windows box, works perfectly alright. I have read all the doumentation regarding this but no solution was found, now you guys are my last hope. Please help me.
