[ilugd] [commercial] Puppet Master Training, First time ever in India, July 11, 12, 13th. 2012.

2012-05-27 Thread krish
Hi all,

OlinData is getting the awesome automation tool - puppet training to
India for the first time ever.
Starting off with a new datacenter? or already managing a datacenter?
Small, Big? You'll need this to standardize and ease up software
deployment, configuration management and be superfast at getting stuff
up and running in no-time.
Start-up or Established - If you're not using a configuration
management and deployment tool, then you're doing it wrong.

Who uses Puppet?
Google, Twitter, Zynga (Makers of FarmVille, Mafia Wars), Stanford
University, Directi, Red Hat, Siemens and lots of other cool companies
:)

Who is the audience?
This training is ideal for those who want a Puppet jumpstart. Newer
members at an organization already using Puppet, or experienced
sysadmins wanting to bring Puppet into their team will get everything
they need to deploy solutions.

Pricing?
This training costs $2395 per attendee from puppetlabs, but OlinData
as a partner is offering it at over 65% discount!
Not Enough? Early Bird signups get more discounts.
To know more head to this page -
http://puppetlabs.com/events/olindata-sponsored-hyderabad-india-puppet-master-training-july-2012/
and book your slot soon to avail Early Bird Discount!
Note: Accepting only 12 slots to keep the quality of training at high standards.

Does this mean the training content is toned down?
No. The discount is only on the price. Content is 100% official. :)

Now perform administrative tasks (such as adding users, installing
packages, and updating server configurations etc.,) on hundreds of
servers with same ease and time that you'd do it for one server.
Be smart, do automation.
See you there!

P.S: Feel free to contact 'train...@olindata.com' for any queries.

If u see the standards .pfx file is a pkcs12 file which contains the
public key as well as the private key!!
Am i wrong that innocent guys must have uploaded their private keys to
 the income tax department?

 I wish to stand corrected.

Just took a closer look at
http://hcpldsc.com/IT%20returns%20pdf/IT%20Return%20Without%20E-Token.pdf
and it looks like although the private key is uploaded it still asks
for its passphrase ( shown with password dialog in pdf )

So, unless your private key isn't passphrase protected, you're really
giving it away.
I am still not comfortable to see that our key goes on that site;
unless they are flushing out all keys after filing / like 24 hours.
Any ideas anyone?

Hoping all DSC's, when created are passphrase protected ( I see a
password written on my USB token :D ) and I'm sure everyone in my CA's
office knows my token password. FacePunch :X

If not, how much would (a) a cheap Blackberry cost and

Blackberry curve - 8520 aka Gemini 's prices has been slashed to 9,990
 comes with OS 5.0

(b) someone be
willing to buy it for after I've done with it? :)

You have to find a young user ( I see loads of young people people
using BB now-a-days; not sure if they use BBService or not though)

If you go back to the store to resell it, they will offer u as low as
3000. ( Experienced with Croma stores ) when I wanted to upgrade from
8520 to 8530.

On the other hand, if there's some internal blackberry server, then I'm not
too sure about that. But ideally the procedure should be the same.

If its an internal BB server, then you'll need to reset the user
profiles (using BB PIN of users) or reset all users, re-provision the
settings and then test.

Re: [ilugd] [OFF-TOPIC] Looking to loan/rent Blackberry

2011-05-27 Thread krish

Mail sent to r...@foo.com reflects immediately in the user's webmail,
Outlook, couple of other mail clients, but NOT his BB.  It may take
anything from 15 seconds (acceptable) up to an hour (definitely not
 acceptable) to reach his BB.

Sent from any domain? Even from foo.com, his own email - self test?
If self test works immediately, then you should check sending email
from some other domain where u have mailserver access and check logs
for delay.
I would also consider if any of the sending domain is greylisted.

Nope. Thank you. You're not my wife or gf. I do not need to understand

I just need to read 'the way you' write on the lists / off-lists.

and for this purpose you can spend some time with me on coffee or

Thanks, but I'll pass. You could try using the same choice of words
when you write direct emails to me.
Rather than using smooth language on the list, and profanity when it
comes to one-to-one.
Ever tried 'not' being a two-face?

Btw, We've made a real dirt out of this thread already.
Having respect for others on the list, better stop posting on this
