Few Basic Questions :

1. how to undelete file/folders from command line?

2. is there anything like defragmentation in windows,
i.e. to defragment linux disks hda, hdb...etc.

3. how to run scandisk in linux, i.e. to find/mark bad
sectors if any?

4. please add more such 'Basic' questions to this list
!!!

5. are there any temporary files i linux like windows ,if yes then how can
we delete them?
