Oh, yes i can recognize this alien language...hi ballu bhai kya hal hai ..
Well i cannot say exactly, but it looks like a language used/spoken in
'India...where love is essence' on the 'Earth...where we survive' .And
also, once it had been compiled by 'some open source enthusiastic' (
  http://hindawi.in).

  Hey, if 'you' can hear/see/read 'us', - हम यहाँ हैं। हम आपकी कया साहयता कर

I think as per as i concern Hindi is not a language of aliens if some
one think that it is, then obviously all Indian's are aliens.

Subject: [ilugd] Query

 Hi all,

When I ftp some components from one node to another , I found some control
characters in the end of all lines.
 Here is copy paste :
 -
 ROCEDURE PR_BOOKING_TEMPLATE_CREATION^M
  (P_TEMPLATE_NO IN VARCHAR2^M
  ,P_BOOK_NO IN SR_CURCOMMBOOKS.BOOK_NO%TYPE^M
  ,P_BOOK_VERSION IN SR_CURCOMMBOOKS.VERSION%TYPE^M
  ,P_DST_PICKUP IN sr_create_firmbooking.dst_pickupdtls^M
  ,P_DST_DELIVERY IN sr_create_firmbooking.dst_deliverydtls^M
  ,P_RETURN_CODE OUT NUMBER^M
  ,P_RETURN_MESG OUT VARCHAR2^M
  );^M
 PROCEDURE PR_CREATE_UPDATE_SO_BILL^M
  (P_REC_BILL IN OUT NOCOPY SR_PUBTYPES.DSR_BILL_DTLS^M
  ,P_REC_BLMULTI IN SR_PUBTYPES.DSR_BLMULTI_DTLS^M
  ,P_TAB_SO_ROUTES IN OUT NOCOPY SR_PUBTYPES.DST_SO_ROUTES^M
  ,P_SO_NUMBER OUT SR_SERVICE_ORDERS.SO_NUMBER%TYPE^M
  ,P_SO_NEWVERSION OUT SR_SERVICE_ORDERS.VERSION%TYPE^M
  ,P_REC_SOAMENDOUT OUT NOCOPY SR_AMENDMENTS.DSR_SOAMENDOUT_REC^M
  ,P_RETURN_CODE OUT NUMBER^M
  ,P_RETURN_MESG OUT VARCHAR2^M
 ---

I want to remove these characters from all components in one shot by
 making a script.
Can some one help me out, because I am unable to remove them by usual
 substitution
commands of sed at command line.

 Dear All,

How to check the current Bootloader without restarting the machine.
Is there any command or option to check it.
 I'm using RedHat 9.

 Thanks

Re: [ilugd] Increasing Space for an existing ext3 parition, RH9

2003-08-02 Thread sanjiv
Hi

You can add extra hard disk with ext3 partiton. After adding the hard disk
do the following.

Formating:

/sbin/mkfs -t ext3 /dev/sda5

Labeling Partition:

e2label /dev/sda5 /work

Creating mount point:

mkdir /work

Add to /etc/fstab:

LABEL=/work /workext3default 1 2

With best wishes

Sanjiv

 hi,
i am facing the same problem of space.can we add one
extra hard disk of 40 gb with ext3 file system and
mount it with my existing partitions like /var,/usr,
/home.. will it solve my problem.

  but apart from that
what you could do is that you could create other
  partitions with the
  space you have as ext3...
and then mount them as maybe
  /usr
  /home etc...

that would do effectively the same work, and give
  protection from
  wipeouts if any...

  have
some 120 MB free on it, but have a 19GB free
   (unformatted) area.
