Hi I am getting this error message on a Thinkpad T 43 running Ubuntu 5.04
Can't access ACPI events in /var/run/acpid.socket! Make sure the ACPI subsystem is working and the acpid daemon is running Did a google search and found similar errors posted but no easy solution. Problem is I don't understand what the problem is because this is a recent error.
