Speaking of writing CDs under Linux, I installed Xandros 2.0 on my new machine a couple of days ago, just to see what it was like. I happened to have an ISO image lying around, and when I right-clicked on it, the shiny GUI thing offered to write it to disk. Great. When I mounted the resulting CD, it had one file on it: whatever.iso.
