Thanks Saurabh, an interesting read. My perspective on this:

There have been enough instances in the past of government accumulating powers
that can be abused. The way such power is abused is generally: shoot first, let
the person who is shot clean up the mess. Obviously pretty unfair.

The best way of dealing with such abuse is to make government truly accountable
for its actions. Design a process that is a millstone that fits around the neck
of each official that abuses such power. The RTI is one such millstone
(unfortunately accruing cruft to curb its power, but still a shining example of
something that really helped). Clauses such as 69A/B may need to have an
accountability/millstone provision added (if RTI isn't enough).

Governance in India fails regularly because the people it affects aren't aware
of the abuse of law failure path. This partly due to huge currents of inertia in
culture and neglect of education.

Fighting against the current with protests is a valuable way of making India a
better place.

Hi,

If you set TMOUT variable set a variable with 300
edit /etc/profile
and put this line in this
export TMOUT=300
it will automatically logout the the bash shell session after 300 seconds(5
minutes).
