I am at present working on writing a device driver in linux for pci bridge that is present in mpc 8266. Actually our purpose is to use design a card which have two processors on it and use pci bus to communicate between them. one of the processors is mpc8266 and other is yet to be decide but most probably will be of other family. I donot have much experience about writing dd although i have a good knowledge of linux kernel. So far i have studied latest pci specifications as well as mpc 8266 manual. Can any experienced person guide me how to start the designing and coding of it i.e., what are the general steps in it that i should also follow and things of this sort.
